Evening prayer to our guardian angel
Our guardian angel is our most neglected friend and companion. It is a gift of the Holy Triune God on the day of the Sacrament of Baptism where at the time of the third emergence of the infant from the pool of our Church he comes beside us.
Holy Angel, you who are very close and see my wretched soul and suffering life, please do not abandon me, because I am a sinner, nor turn away from me, because I do not control myself.
Please do not allow the wicked demon to rule over me and tyrannize my mortal body. Hold me by my weary hand and lead me to the way of salvation. Yes, Holy Angel of God, you who guard and cover my wretched soul and body, forgive me for all that I have grieved you all the days of my life and if I have committed any sin today.
Cover me during this night and protect me from every insult of the enemy, that I may not grieve God with some sin. And he interceded for me to the Lord to support me, so that I would always respect Him and make me a worthy servant of His love. Amen.
